(formerly Global Business Initiatives)

The Global Initiatives Committee of the Chamber is to promote international business through inbound and outbound missions led by the Chamber and in conjunction with other organizations. The committee provides GMCC members the opportunity to connect internationally through innovative methods such as the web.

2008-2009 Goals

• Coordinate the Chamber’s Americas Linkage inbound and outbound programs.

• Re-engineer outbound mission programs to enhance value for Chamber members both traveling and not traveling on the missions.

• Evaluate an expanded role for the Chamber and its members in hosting and managing one-on-one business meetings for incoming trade and business missions and in providing more permanent platforms for locally-based international business development.
