Greater Miami Chamber of CommerceWashington, D.C. and Tallahassee Initiatives

The Chamber’s Advocacy Group undertakes various trips throughout the year to engage the state legislature, members of U.S. Congress and their staff, and state and federal agencies on issues outlined in the Chamber’s Legislative Package. These are unique opportunities to participate in the Chamber’s advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. and Tallahassee, FL. Chamber leadership and fellow community and business leaders head to the nation’s and state’s capitals for these fast-paced, high-level lobbing trips.

These initiatives consist of:

  • Orientation briefings
  • Issue meetings with key elected officials, their staff and agency officials -- issue areas outlined in the Chamber’s Legislative Package include: healthcare, immigration, trade, transportation, and workforce housing.
  • Chamber hosted receptions -- meet and mingle with elected officials and their staff as well as fellow mission participants, local elected officials and key business leaders.
  • Agency briefings
  • Networking events
  • Delegation kits
